The voice of local people in health and care

Join us for The Big Leeds Chat

the big Leeds chatThe Big Leeds Chat - drop in event 11:00 - 15:00

Something big is happening in Leeds, and we want you to be part of it. Health and care is changing and we want you to be at the heart of those changes. If systems are built around people’s needs then they work better, work smarter, are there where you need them and when you need them.

So, we need to listen to what you have to say, we want to use your opinions and knowledge of the services you use to help shape those services. For the first time, all those health and care services will be available to talk to you, all in one place. This will be a turn up and chat event taking place in Leeds Market on 11th October 11am – 3pm.

This is your chance to have a conversation with the people that make the big decisions on the health and care services you use. Have our voice heard on how we can all improve them, so that they work for you and your family when you need them. The event will be opened by Rebecca Charlwood, the Chair of the Health & Wellbeing Board who is looking forward to hearing all the great ideas the people of Leeds have to keep ourselves well.

We are planning to have free activities to take part in, lots of advice and information and the opportunity to get tips on how to stay happy, healthy and well.

“It’s an exciting time for health and wellbeing in this city, we’re putting the people of Leeds at the heart of our transformation. Everybody has a part to play in turning our ambition of being the best city for health into a reality. Everything we do affects our physical and mental health and wellbeing.

The Big Leeds Chat is an opportunity for everyone to play their part by meeting the people leading the health and care system in this city, and to tell them about your health experiences in Leeds, and your ideas for the future of health and care.”
